Anti-Ragging Policy
Nehru Nursing College enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging to ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all students. The institution strictly follows the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC), UGC, and State Government directives to make the campus ragging-free.
Anti-Ragging Committee & Cell
- An active Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted comprising the Principal, faculty members, hostel wardens, and student representatives.
- The committee meets regularly and is empowered to investigate and take strict action against any complaints.
Monitoring and Prevention
- 24/7 monitoring in hostel and academic areas through CCTV surveillance and staff patrol.
- Orientation programs are conducted at the beginning of the academic year to create awareness on:
- What constitutes ragging
- How to report it
- Consequences of engaging in ragging
Helpline and Reporting
- A confidential grievance and complaint system is available for students to report any incidents.
- Contact numbers and email addresses for committee members are displayed across the campus.
- Students may also report incidents anonymously or approach faculty members directly.
Disciplinary Action
- Any student found guilty of ragging shall be subjected to strict disciplinary measures, including:
- Suspension
- Dismissal
- Legal prosecution, if necessary
- The college will extend full cooperation to legal authorities, as per the law.
Declaration & Undertaking
- All students and parents are required to sign an anti-ragging undertaking during admission.
- This affirms their commitment to uphold a respectful, abuse-free learning environment.
